Bio
Toro y Moi（トロ・イ・モワ）。1986年生まれ。米サウスカロライナ州コロンビア出身のシンガーソングライター / プロデューサー / グラフィック・デザイナー、Chaz Bearによるソロ・プロジェクト。ステージネームは、「Toro = 強気（スペイン語）」「Y = そして（スペイン語）」「Moi = 私（フランス語）」を意味する造語。アフリカ系アメリカ人の父親とフィリピン人の母親を持ち、チルウェイヴ・シーンのパイオニアとして知られる。2010年、レーベル〈Carpark Records〉を通じてデビュー・アルバム『Causers of This』をリリース。以後、コンスタントにリリースを重ねながら国内外で人気を確立。また、ダンス・ミュージック / DJに特化した別名義「Les Sins」としても活動。2017年、Chaz Bundick Meets The Mattson 2『Star Stuff』をリリース。2017年の5thアルバム『Boo Boo』を経て、2019年に6thアルバム『Outer Peace』をリリース。
